Rhoda is our tribute to the deep-end of Anderson Valley, where it is possible to make profound wines of depth, elegance and tension.  The name Rhoda comes from the namesakes of Anderson Valley, Walter and Rhoda Anderson, who came out to California from Missouri during the Gold Rush.

It’s difficult to imagine a more perfect vintage in Anderson Valley. The warm and long summer helped produce wines that are appealing straight away. As always, this wine is our tribute and entry point to the special characteristics of deep-end Anderson Valley Pinot.

Rhoda is a blend of three deep-end vineyard sites in Anderson Valley: Kiser (62%), Tanbark Mill (32%) and Wendling (5%).

+ This is combination of nine different fermentation lots including six different clonal selections. 115 (Kiser and Wendling), Martini (Tanbark), 777 (Kiser), 114 (Kiser), 667 (Wendling and Kiser), 828 (Tanbark and Wendling).

+ The final blend has 18% whole cluster fermentation influence.

+ It was aged for 15 months in mix of new and neutral French oak barrels with 22% being new.

+ Quite simply this is one of the best Rhodas we’ve ever produced. It kind of has it all. Upfront charm and the serious layers as well. Complete.
