2019 Mirama Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
10 bottle limit
The Mirama Chardonnay is a blend of some of our top vineyard sources in the Sonoma Coast. Our goal with this wine is to capture the marriage of the chilly Pacific Ocean and the Goldridge soils, crafting wine that is full of energy, elegance and persistence.
+ The 2019 Mirama is once again a blend of Heintz and H. Klopp vineyards, which are located in cool areas near Occidental and Sebastopol respectively.
+ This wine is a blend of four clones of Chardonnay—Mt Eden, Clone 4, Robert Young and Old Wente—which were whole-cluster pressed and vinified separately.I
+ It was bottled in March of 2021 after spending 18 months in barrel consisting of 25% new French oak, 40% stainless steel and 35% neutral French oak.
+ The 2019 vintage was marked by a gorgeous end of the season with warm, but not hot, weather allowing for ideal ripening. The fruit was in pristine condition at the time of harvest.
+ One of the things we love about this vintage are the savory qualities of our Chardonnays. Sometimes fruit flavors push their way to the front, but in this wine we are experiencing more elements like fennel fronds, minerals, citrus zest, crushed rock and herbs.
