2019 Bosco Sangiovese
The name origin of this wine dates back to Kelly and Noah's wedding in Tuscany in 2004. Bosco means “the woods” in Italian and was the name of a wine we served at their wedding. Later it became the name of their dog. Now it is the name of a Reeve wine. What can we say—when we like a name, we like a name.
+ The 2019 vintage was ideal with a moderate late season finish that created extra depth of flavor while maintaining extra freshness.
+ Made using mostly carbonic fermentation to accentuate the bright aromatics of Sangiovese while at the same time turning the volume down on the inherently strong structural element of the grape.
+ Aged in a mixture of stainless steel and neutral oak barrels for six months prior to bottling.
+ Sourced from the east block of Sangiovese at Windsor Oaks Vineyard.
+ Crafted to be a joyful, food friendly, juicy and bright wine that begs to be drunk with merriment. Bright and tart red cherries, hard candy, with a faint waft of sweet cigar. Mouthwatering.
+ No sulfur addition during elevage or at bottling to promote short term drinking.
