2016 Rosé of Pinot Noir
There is nothing we like better than crisp pretty rosé in our glass. While the prevailing spirit of rosé is one of joyousness and frivolity, we take the task of creating it very seriously. It receives the same intense focus as our most expensive single vineyard Pinots, but the end result is all sunshine daydream. I guess you could say we take our fun seriously!
Our newest iteration comes from the same biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir vineyard from which we have sourced in the past. This year we used a combination of the 115 and the Roederer clone 32 that we used last year. We feel this combination made the best expression of the vintage. Again the wine was whole-cluster pressed, exclusively picked and crafted to be floral, elegant and full of verve. The wine was made primarily in stainless steel to preserve the freshness.
This rosé has charming strawberry cream and floral aromas with a bare hint of fresh lemon thyme. In the mouth it was full of bright berry flavors underpinned by tangy kumquat and mandarin notes.
These are the bottles (and cases) that will disappear from any gathering in snap.
