2018 Bybee Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir
Due to the smoke damage from the destructive Mendocino Complex fire in 2018, we had to make a last minute audible and find a new source for our rosé this vintage. We honestly hit the jackpot by finding Bybee Vineyard Pinot Noir. Not only did we avoid not having a rosé at all, we found a vineyard that is an A+.
+ Bybee Vineyard is located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, just outside of the town of Sebastopol on Mill Station Road.
+ It is farmed in an extremely hands-on, "beyond-organic" fashion.
+ This vineyard designate rosé is comprised of a variety of Pinot clones including 114, 777 and Pommard.
+ Our 2018 rosé was fermented and aged mostly in stainless steel with a small percentage barrel-aged (4% in neutral barrels).
+ The wine combines beautiful Pinot fruit characteristics of red berries and vibrant spring flowers and an extremely high, mouthwatering "verve factor".
+ For the first time, we bottled this wine with Stelvin Lux screwcap closures. For this wine it will promote freshness and eliminate any possible cork taint issues.
