Reeve Wines

Why we do it.

The dimensions of wine are infinite.  From the fog that rolls in from the coast, to the seabed soil that nourishes the vines, to the hands that lovingly tend to the grapes, to all the intuition used during harvest and fermentation, to the sharing of a finished bottle with loved ones. And all that falls in between. It's no wonder there are few better feelings than having a glass of balanced wine.  Each one is a particular snapshot of a time, place, and the people involved.

It's the love and appreciation of all of those moments that drew Noah Dorrance into the world of wine. The launch of Reeve Wines gives the winemaking team of Noah, Ross Cobb, and Katy Wilson a studio in which to explore new spaces in their wine worlds.  Together they are creating nuanced, elegant expressions of both the familiar and more unconventional varieties.

Inspired by Super Tuscans, this blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon plumbs dark depths, but maintains the trademark Reeve elegance while conveying a sense of its Sonoma County origin.  $38 // bottle.

2017 Vonarburg Vineyard Riesling

From one of the best Riesling sites in Anderson Valley—in California, actually—we have a very limited number of Vonarburg Riesling available due to low yields in 2017. Sold to our wine club first, we only have a few cases left and aren't selling any bottles in the tasting room.  The remaining bottles are available only through allocation.  Zippy and electric with great depth.  $38 // bottle.

Wine Club / Allocation Only (Not available in Tasting Room)
2017 Vecino Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir

Not all rosé is created equally. This perfectly pretty Rosé of Pinot Noir hails from Vecino Vineyard in Potter Valley. Pale pink with notes of flower petals, wild strawberries and mandarin peel, this wine is both zingy and fully composed, maybe a little like a Natalie Portman.

2017 Rhoda Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

The 2017 follow-up to our popular Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, we decided to call this blend "Rhoda" after one of the original pioneers of Anderson Valley.  Blended with some blue-chip deep-end vineyards, this wine displays a high-wire act of elegance, tension and depth that is coveted in Pinot.  $48 // bottle.
